Discover the most famous Italian lakes with this 8 days tour ! Starting from your arrival in Milan, you will visit the iconic Lake Como and Lake Garda and also less known lakes that won’t disappoint you. In the tour are also included the visits of Verona and Venice with the entrance to the Doge’s Palace.

Day 1 Arrive in Milan

After you arrival at Milan’s APT, you’ll meet the tour guide and be transferred to Lake Maggiore’s area. Check-in at the booked hotel and free time to relax and individual activities. Dinner and overnight at the booked hotel.

Day 2Borromean islands and Lake Maggiore

On this day, you will visit the three Borromean islands, loved by Ernest Hemingway. The arcipelago consists of the wonderful Isola Bella, with the 17th century Palazzo Borromeo surrounded by enchanting gardens, the picturesque Isola dei Pescatori, the Isola Madre, famous for its botanical garden rich in rare plant species and the small island of S. Giovanni. At the end of the day, transfer back to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 3Lake Orta and San Giulio island

After breakfast, transfer to Lake Orta and the small island of San Giulio. Lake Orta is a quite lake, surrounded by woods and hills and it’s considered an hidden gem by locals, as it’s not as famous as other Italian lakes. You will also discover the little town of Orta San Giulio, with its little squares enlivened by the presence of craft boutiques, antique shops and lively cafés. In the late afternoon, transfer back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4Lake Como

Lake Como, along with Lake Garda, is probably the most famous Italian lake, as it provides one of the most picturesque sceneries in the world. Once there, you’ll have a guided visit of the beautiful Villa Carlotta, especially knwon for its botanical garden. After the visit, you will have a boat ride to Bellagio. Often referred to as the Pearl of Lake Como, Bellagio is a beautiful small village, surprising and coloured. After that, transfer to Verona area with the check-in at the booked hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5Romantic Verona

Today will be entirely dedicated to the discovery of the city of Verona, with a special guided tour. Mostly known for Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”, Verona is a fascinating city rich in culture and history. Your tour will include the visit of San Zeno Basilica, the finest church in Verona and one of the most important Romanesque churches in Northern Italy and the visit of the “Arena”. Built in the 1st century AD, Verona’s Roman amphitheatre it’s the main landmark of the city as millions tourists every year come to visit it. The tour will obviously end with a stop in front of Juliet’s house, where you’ll be able to see the most famous balcony of the world. Transfer back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6Lake Garda

After breakfast, transfer to Lake Garda, Italy’s largest lake, for the guided visit of Sirmione. The city has a beautiful compination of Roman and medieval traits and between its landmarks there are the famous Rocca Scaligera and Grotte di Catullo. Grotto of Catullus is an archaeological area where it’s said the huge villa of the poet Catullus once stood. Later on, boat trip around Lake Garda, with lunch on board. In the late afternoon, transfer to the booked hotel in Venice area for the check-in. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7Timeless Venice

Transfer to Venice Tronchetto to take the boat to Venice San Marco. Meet with the local guide for an half day walking tour of the city. Venice is different from any other city and it’s truly one of the most romantic cities in the world. It’s also one of the world’s great engineering feats as the whole city is built on more than 100 islands in a lagoon. The tour will also include the visit of the Doge’s Palace, built between the 10th and 11th centuries and still known as a Gothic masterpiece. In the afternoon, free time for shopping and individual activities. Transfer back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 8 Bye bye !

After breakfast, transfer to Venice APT. End of our services, arrivederci !
