Itinerary

Day 1 From Germany to Austria

Arrive in Munich’s Airport and transfer by private bus to Austria. Check-in at the booked hotel, with the possibility to attend a typical Tyrolean dinner.

Day 2Innsbruck and Salzburg

After breakfast, transfer to Innsbruck for a guided tour of the city. Innsbruck’s main landmark is surely the Golden Roof and its 2,738 gold-plated copper tiles. Made for Emperor Maximilian I in the early 15th century, it served as a royal box where he could sit in luxury. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to Salzburg. Check-in at the booked hotel, followed by a special dinner in St. Peter Stiftskeller, known as one of the most ancient restaurants in Europe. The dinner will be enriched by a concert of the Amadeus Consort Ensemble performing Mozart’s music. Overnight at the booked hotel.

Day 3Salzburg, Melk and Vienna

The day will start with a guided tour of Salzburg, Mozart’s birthplace. Salzburg means “salt fortress”, because for thousands of years, salt has been mined from the area around Salzburg. The city is also famous for its baroque architecture that can be seen throughout the old town. Later on, transfer to the medieval city of Melk, where you will attend a unique cruise on the Danube. In the evening, transfer to Vienna. Check-in at the booked hotel with dinner and overnight.

Day 4Discover Vienna

Guided tour of Vienna. Austria’s capital offers a unique mix of imperial traditions and modern architecture. Schloss Schönbrunn, the former imperial summer residence, is one of the most popular sights, followed by the suggestive baroque Belvedere Palace. Free time for lunch and individual activities. Dinner will be served in a typical restaurant. Overnight at the booked hotel.

Day 5Schönbrunn Palace and Graz

Visit of the iconic Vienna’s iconic Schönbrunn Palace (Schloss Schönbrunn), one of the most beautiful Baroque palace complexes. For centuries the palace served as the summer home of the Habsburgs family, and to this day reflects the interests and tastes of the Habsburg monarchs. In the afternoon, transfer to Graz. Check-in at the booked hotel with dinner and overnight.

Day 6Graz, Köflach and Klagenfurt

After breakfast, guided visit of Graz, Austria’s second largest city. Graz has a very well-preserved old town, where many of the buildings date back to the Middle Ages, with romantic alleys and streets where you find Italian-style palaces side-by-side with architecture typical of imperial Austria. Free time for lunch. In the early afternoon, you will visit the Federal Stud Pieber in Köflach, home to probably the most famous horses in the world. During the visit you will learn all about the breeding, keeping and history of the white horses Lipizzaner which perform at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna. After that, transfer to Klagenfurt. Check-in at the booked hotel with dinner and overnight.

Day 7Klagenfurt, Grossglockner and Munich

Transfer to the Grossglockner, Austria’s highest mountain. The view from its summit falls on the high alpine scenery all around, while the forests offer a unique habitat for a plurality of animals and plants in various climes. Transfer to Munich with the check-in at the booked hotel. Free time for individual activities. Farewell dinner with music in restaurant. Overnight.

Day 8Auf Wiedersehen !

After breakfast, transfer to the airport. End of our services.
